This week was on what I call my “90 Day Reset”. I want to share with you why I value time to recharge my batteries. My hope is by sharing my personal story will inspire you to do the same. We work hard. I believe by setting healthy boundries helps to keep us balanced, healthier and living life to it’s fullest!
I’ve written about creating a 90 Day reset before and will again, I’m sure. Why? Because I learned the hard way. I come from a very hard working middle class family. It’s in my blood to work hard. The problem is I never really learned how to play too.
About 8 years ago I had a successful working ceramic studio with up to 6 people on my team. We all worked hard to make the handpainted ceramics that were shipped all over the world. I was very proud of what we accomplished but it was at a cost. I made sure everyone else had time off when needed, everyone but myself. I worked all the time. Even after I left the studio and when I was suppose to be “off” I still worked. I was exhaused and never took time to recharge my batteries or spend quality time with my family.
Now I know better so I schedule this precisous time every 90 days.
Listen to my story as I share the beautiful Rocky Mountains in this video!

I’ve learned that if I don’t take the time to recharge my batteries no one will do it for me. I have to take care of me so I can be of service to my family, my community and my clients. For the past 2 years I schedule it into my calender… Seriouly! I hope by sharing how I learned the hard way how important it is to make time to unplug and live life is so important to your health. My wish is that it inspires you to do the same:)
If you know me and are part of my creative community, you know I’m a visual girl. I love beauty and nature and to travel to see it:) So I put together this Flipogram to share a sneak peak into our amazingly memorable girlfrind trip to share with you!
If you have never been to the Rocky Mountains, you should add it to your bucket list! It’s simply spectacular! Below is our little posse in Breckenridge. The water was running so fast from the melting snow off the mountains you could barely hear where we were standing!
I found another 40 ways to give yourself a break from the Tiny Buddha.
Remember not all my 90 day resets are this grand. I realize how blessed I am to have wonderful friends! Some of my recharges are simply a weekend where I just unplug. I read a good book, go biking and simply be with my family. This is how I create balance in my life and make time that I cherish. I’ve found that indulging in a little in “Carpe Diem” is a healthier way to live. Remember… Life is short. I hope that by sharing my story will inspire you to schedule time to recharge your batteries too!
