About Darla
My passion is creating unexpected colorful & meaningful art + designs! After 20+ years it continues to grow. Everything starts at my sketch pad then are hand drawn and painted on canvas/board, collaged or made into mixed medium. Original art can be created into paintings, mixed media, illustrations, graphic and surface designs. Each piece embodies a creative, positive spirit filled with unexpected charm and sometimes a sparkle of sophisticated whimsy. Once I have the original it can be re-created into note cards, matted prints, art panels, canvas and other creative gifts.
Currently I am working on a new body that will encompass many designs, pieces and art and typography. I am calling them “Memory Art Panels” at the moment. Every piece is carefully created, embellished and assembled packaged in our studio. This is a family affair with my sons, daughter and husband abundant support! I am proud to say all our products are made in the USA. Our studio recycles everything possible. Whether it is my art, packaging we are focused on recycled and eco friendly materials. We strive to add “green” elements in as many products possible.
When not in the studio I enjoy time with my husband, our three great kids and our dog Wrigley. Often you can fine Wrigley under my feet while I work on the computer or by my side at the easel. A true lover of laughter, I can often be found with friends and family enjoying a glass of something fun. ”Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for art + deisgn. About Ian
My passions are computers, computer games, programing, reading and time with friends. I am a senior at Lakota East High School and plan to continue my education in Computer Science. Currently I am the assistant at Darla Kirchner Designs. I handle all the technical support, aid in client projects and production and help prepare for shows, classes and events.
I enjoy spending time with my friends. I like to play the saxophone and base clarinet, listening to music and of course playing video games. Oh and if you need any computer assistance I am available.
